Description
The beautiful village of Virelles occupies the Vallée de l?Eau Blanche (White Water Valley) and its history is closely linked to it. All the way to Vaulx, travel along charming little roads and into the Bois de Blaimont woods, whose natural treasures are well-known... Given the high levels of shale in the soil, the Virelles forest is essentially made up of hardwood trees, dominated by oaks and beeches. Virelles boasts one of the country's most beautiful oak forests. Other species such as birch prosper there too, as well as ash, cherry tree, alder, poplar, hazelnut, wild pear and apple trees along the edge, service tree, etc. There are also spruces on the Blaimont plateau and Scots pines on the south side of Longtimchamps.
