How can we help you?

Can I cancel my stay and get my deposit back due to force majeure?

  • Force majeure only applies if a decision of the authorities covers the start date of your stay. If this is the case, Ardennes-étape has already cancelled your stay.
  • If the date of your stay is not covered by a decision of the authorities, you must pay the balance. The fact that you have been authorised to pay for the reservation in two instalments does not exempt you from paying the balance if the case of force majeure is not established at the time the payment is due. If you do not pay the balance of your stay, it will be cancelled in accordance with the general terms and conditions which will generate cancellation charges.
  • If, on the date of your stay, and only if you have paid in full, the stay cannot take place by decision of the authorities, Ardennes-étape will grant you a voucher to be used to reschedule your stay at a better time.

In any case, you can only invoke cancellation of the reservation due to force majeure if and only if all your payments are in order at Ardennes-étape.
