Experience the magic of a winter landscape
Experience the magic of a winter landscape on the cross-country skis! Cross country skiing is a fantastic sports activity for not only the reacreational sportsman, but for the fanatic sportslover as well. Cross country skiing is being taught on all levels. There are two cross country skiing techniques: the classic style (striding forward) and skate skiing (side-to-side in a skating motion). The material being used (cross-country skis, shoes, sticks) depends on the function of the chosen style.
This type of sports is much more technical than it seems, that's why taking classes is not a bad idea. The classes are being offered per hour, even though a 2 hours minimum class is highly recommended. A short warm-up is being followed by an introduction to the basic techniques (brake techniques, curves, climbing). The remaining time is being dedicated to a guided tour.
What do you need?
Warm clothes for practicing sports, but no skiing pants or coats (it's better to wear trainings and thermal underwear), gloves and the right cross country skis. Attention: In pretty much all cross country skiing facilities, classic skis are being rented. If you would like to rent skating skis, contact miss An Van Rie.
