As soon as you open the door, your first thought will be ’how nice it is here!’, a feeling only reinforced upon discovering the comfortable lounge with open fireplace, the wooden sauna or when sitting down for a delicious barbecue. To unwind and make the most of the people who really matter? That’s what holidays are all about!
Situated between the provinces of Namur and Hainaut, the region of Sambre-en-Meuse offers magnificent natural surroundings, such as the Eau d'Heure lakes. Diving, sailing, jet skiing... These lakes are the ideal place for fans of more active holidays. But our favourite place within the region has to be the Fondry des Chiens nature reserve, located in the Entre Meuse et Sambre nature park. A stunning place that is reminiscent of Provence! Be sure to also visit theChimay Experience to discover how Chimay's delicious cheeses and beers are made, while of course sampling some Chimay on tap!
In short, here you'll find everything you need to enjoy the Ardennes way of life: great walks, a friendly atmosphere and good food!
Couvin is also home to Neptune caves, a unique Natura 2000 site. An exciting and fun day of discovery for both young and old!

One of the best houses we've stayed in: Very well equipped kitchen for a holiday home, A lot of bathrooms, beautifully decorated and a very peaceful environment.
Erg mooi en groot huis, ideaal voor een familiegroep. Sauna is een meerwaarde. Geen speeltoestellen in de tuin een nadeel. Bbq en plancha aanawezig maar niet gebruiksklaar. Bij aankomst werd ons gevraagd om om 10u te vertrekken op zondag, terwijl bij boeking 20u werd getoond. We konden dit na contact met Ardennes Etape oplossen en mochten tot 16u blijven, zoals we graag ,wilden.
Aangenaam verblijf voor een grote groep vrienden.
Ons familieweekend hebben we met 13 volwassenen (22j tot 78j) en 1 kind (12j ) doorgebracht. Ontvangst door gastvrouw was aangenaam en ze gaf goede info. Kamers waren ruim en netjes. Wellnessruimte was zeer cosy. Het huis is afgelegen maar vonden wij wel fijn.
Sehr schönes Haus für größere Gruppen, gut ausgestattete Küche, ausreichend Bäder und Toiletten. Zusätzlich eine wunderschöne Sauna. Die direkte Umgebung ist nicht besonders ansprechend, aber man muss nicht weit fahren (ca. 20 Minuten), um tolle Wanderungen zu machen. Ohne Auto eventuell etwas schwierig.
Les + : très propre, bien équipé, plus beau et plus grand que sur les photos, beau grand jardin sécurisé (car au fin fond d'une rue en cul-de-sac), proprio super sympa, chouettes activités dans le coin pour les enfants Les points à améliorer : coussins pas très confortables, dommage qu'il n'y ait pas une balançoire pour les enfants dans le jardin
Een zeer positieve ervaring. Heel ruim en netjes onderhouden. Zeer vriendelijk onthaal . Een aanrader !
