Anyone stepping into this light, modern holiday home will find it hard to believe that this was once little more than an old farm barn. Although the presence of Simon the pig and Sucy the goat is a nice nod to the property's past. After a delicious breakfast, put on your walking shoes and explore this beautiful region. Here you have many hiking opportunities, right within your immediate surroundings. For instance, explore the surrounding villages directly, starting from the village of Mozet. Want to treat yourself to some extra indulgence? Then book an outdoor spa, where you will enjoy a barrel sauna and traditional rain shower, a hot tub overlooking the orchards as well as a small lounge.
Gesves is set in an excellent location, right on the edge of the Belgian Ardennes. The Namur Condroz region is dotted with charming villages, manor farms and picturesque towns. For example, Ciney, the capital of the Condroz and Namur, the surprising capital of Wallonia, and its legendary citadel are only about 20 minutes away. A hidden treasure in this region? The picturesque village of Crupet and its exceptional heritage (an 11th-century castle with dungeon), its meandering streams, narrow alleyways and beautiful stonework. Highly recommended!

Het huis is perfect voor twee families met elk twee kinderen. Wij waren met zes volwassenen en twee baby's. De toiletten bevonden zich in de slaapkamers; dus diegenen die in de kinderkamer sliepen moesten altijd een andere kamer passeren alsook daar naar het toilet gaan.
Quel cachet. Perdue dans une majestueuse nature, la ferme offre tout le confort moderne. Mais avec un cachet historique irrésistible. Nous avons adoré le salon imposant, abce sa grande tapisserie, son plafond ondulé, ses dalles anciennes et ses fauteuils confortables. Et que dire de l"accueil parfait avec un magnifique sourire. We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in deze prachtig gerenoveerde hoeve. Mooi ingericht, praktische keuken en zeer fijne omgeving, Het was onze eerste keer en we hebben onmiddellijk terug geboekt voor een langer verblijf :-) Er is ook veel te zien in de omgeving. De stad Namen is ons heel goed meegevallen met de Citadel (zeker een bezoekje waard), toffe wandelingen (bijvoorbeeld de kunstwandeling - een aanrader) en kastelen (Kasteel van Modave is top) ....
Prachtige woning in een oude boerderij. Wat mij betreft is de woning zeker 4 sterren waard. Mooi gedecoreerd, grote fijne slaapkamers, enorm grote woonkamer, ruime leefkeuken. De woning ligt ook prachtig waarbij je overigens wel de auto nodig hebt voor de bakker en boodschappen (5 minuten rijden).
Ontzettend mooi huis op een oude hoeve. Hele grote kamers en een fijne grote bank om met zijn allen op te zitten. Goed bedden. Wellness eerst 100 meter rondom het huis lopen door de koude. Maar erg lekker. Te reserveren via Léa een paar uurtjes van tevoren. Fijn dat er een late checkout is op zondag (20:00), dan kun je nog een hele dag genieten. Soms was het binnen nog een beetje fris, temperatuur te regelen door enkele radiatoren uit of aan te doen. Geen temperatuur regelaar gezien.
De service was super, via whatsapp, maar altijd een snel en heel vriendelijk antwoord. Ik had niet gelezen dat je de sauna nog moest reserveren, dat moet telkens even op voorhand (bv. de dag ervoor of in de voormiddag voor ‘s avonds). Ik dacht dat deze mee in ons verblijf zat. Kleine opmerking ook dat er een hond losloopt, deze is heel lief en doet niets, zolang je niet in de buurt van het hok komt of loopt. Dat zou ik evt. wel nog aanduiden als er bezoekers zijn. Voor de rest een topverblijf!:)

Geweldige locatie om even tot rust te komen. Fantastische wandelroutes in het groen. Grote plus is het late uitchecken wat je vertrekdag super relaxed maakt. Aanrader!
Heerlijke woning in een zeer rustig gebied. Zeer mooie verbouwde boerderij met veel ruimte. Geschikt voor families ( 8 personen), minder geschikt voor 4 stellen ivm gedeelde slaapkamers. . Veel gastvrijheid en een erg lieve hond op het erf. Genoeg te doen en te ondernemen in de omgeving.
