What are we absolutely sure of? Arriving in this charming holiday home with cheerful interior will get you in a holiday mood. Imagine: a raclette with your favourite people, a game of ping pong or badminton, the kids living in the sandpit while you enjoy the beautiful weather (and delicious regional beer) on the sun-drenched terrace, a fun games night by a crackling fire, an extensive barbecue (cosy in the autumn and winter with an extra thick sweater.). The whole family will have a great time here; whatever the season.
Of course, most come to the Ardennes to enjoy nature. And they’re right. The eastern Ourthe valley near Gouvy has a lot of wild, remote places waiting. And our recommendation for a rugged walk and a good portion of fresh air? The «the Valley of the Ourthe» loop, which is part of the GR57. Here you will discover wild and remote places that you can hardly imagine. And what's more, Baraque Fraiture, one of the highest peaks of the Ardennes, and the Achouffe brewery are nearby.
Here you can enjoy great conviviality, as well as some of the most beautiful places in the Belgian Ardennes, in all seasons.
And if you want to do some shopping on foot? That’s possible here as well. There is a pharmacy in the village of Cherain. Always a handy thing with kids, and ideal for a carefree holiday.
Pets not allowed
Een tophuis waar we ooit terug naartoe willen. Een perfect huis voor ons gezin met 3 kinderen. De gastvrouw is heel vriendelijk en legt alles heel nauwkeurig uit! Een topdame!
We hebben een geweldige week gehad in een prachtig huis met een super mooie tuin. Voor de kinderen was er enorm veel speelgoed en in de tuin was er ook genoeg te spelen. Het huis voldeed aan alle wensen voor een gezin met 3 jonge kinderen. Enige minpuntje was dat er geen hor voor de ramen zat, waardoor er veel vliegen binnen waren en veel muggen op de slaapkamers! Daarnaast een kleine bank in de woonkamer, is met slecht weer niet zo fijn. We raden het huis zeker aan!
Helemaal in orde, prima ontvangst, niets op het huis aan te merken!
Ruim, heel proper en verzorgd, aangenaam vakantiehuis waar aan alles is gedacht, een aanrader!
Heel erg gezellig huis met een prachtige tuin met uitzicht. We werden hartelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. Een absolute aanrader.
Très chouette séjour dans une confortable maison bien située et très jolie. Le fait de passer par Ardennes étape a vraiment été un plus pour nous, grâce à la facilité apportée pour la recherche d'activités alentours et aux réductions aventageuses.
Prachtig kleurrijk huisje in een rustig dorpje in een omgeving met veel wandelroutes; zeer geschikt als uitvalsbasis naar bijvoorbeeld Bastogne, Spa en Luxemburg (even de grens over en dan met de trein - gratis - naar Luxemburg. Goed voorzien dorpswinkeltje praktisch om de hoek voor broodjes, biertjes of een paar dagelijkse boodschappen. Aanrader!

Gîte très agréable, bien agencé et propriétaire accueillante. .Environnement très calme, parfait pour passer de bonnes vacances.

Zeer nette woning. Lekker schoon en goed onderhouden. Een woning om naar terug te gaan voor een volgende bezoek.
Het huisje was zeer netjes, gezellig ingericht (tafel zelfs gedekt en kaarsjes aan, heerlijk!), voorzien van alle comfort, heerlijke kachel, keuken met alles erop en eraan. Mooi uitzicht. Bakker en kleine superette op wandelafstand. Lekkere pizzeria in het dorpje Gouvy.
