This beautiful holiday home in Houyet for 12 people is perfect for 3-4 couples with children who want to enjoy a relaxing stay together in the Ardennes. Located in a very quiet neighborhood, the house offers a breathtaking panoramic view over the fields and the valley of the Lesse, just 200 meters from the river. This makes it the perfect base for lovers of hiking and water sports, with a kayak course nearby.
The house has 5 comfortable bedrooms, some with a balcony where you wake up in the morning with a beautiful view so the real holiday feeling starts immediately. There are 3 bathrooms available, which provides enough privacy and convenience for everyone. For the little ones there is a baby cot and a high chair available, so they also feel completely at home.
Also for the children there is a spacious playroom equipped with all kinds of games, while outside a slide and other playground equipment are ready to fully enjoy fun there as well. The private terrace with garden furniture also invites you to relaxing moments in the fresh air. Here you have a wood barbecue, ideal to enjoy tasty summer meals together with a view. Is it a bit chilly in the evening? Then it is at least equally cozy around the wood stove in the living room.
A secured bicycle storage and charging station for electric vehicles are available, so you can easily charge your bike or electric car and explore the surroundings worry-free. Because there is quite a lot to discover here...
You can for example visit the park of Furfooz, a unique place where nature and history come together. Here you walk through beautiful landscapes and discover archaeological remains that tell the story of the region.
An absolute recommendation are also the Caves of Han, where you go on (re)discovery in an impressive underground tunnel system. This natural phenomenon is fascinating for young and old and offers an adventurous experience close to the house.
For those who want to descend even deeper, there is the cave of Lorette, located 60 meters underground. This cave is a hidden gem where you can admire the mysterious beauty of the Ardennes underground.
Also the legend of the Bayard rock must not be missed during your stay. This impressive rock formation tells an ancient story and is a nice destination for a short walk in nature.
Finally, the Castle of Freÿr is worth a visit. This charming castle with its beautiful gardens offers a glimpse into the rich history of the region and is a nice place to explore with the whole family.
The location of the holiday home close to the Lesse also makes it possible to enjoy water sports activities such as kayaking.

We vonden het een heel fijn verblijf, moderne woning met alles erop en eraan. Heel mooi uitzicht, ruim en heel fijne speelruimte met veel speelgoed voor de kinderen
