After a busy day in this surprising region, we definitely recommend a cosy barbecue. Extra cosy in the autumn and winter with a thick sweater. Your four-legged friends can also enjoy themselves. Let them have a sniff around the enclosed garden with peace of mind.
You will be staying in the beautiful Condroz. This area has charming villages and picturesque towns, as well as impressive rock walls rising from the banks of the Meuse. The relief, sometimes soft, sometimes hilly, provides enchanting panoramas and will certainly attract cyclists. You will be staying close to Huy, one of the oldest and most authentic towns in Belgium. Definitely visit the Fort van Hoei and the Grote Markt. Our tip? End the day with a drink on a sunny terrace. Just what you need on holiday. The 17th century Kasteel van Modave (special heritage of Wallonia) is also fun to visit.
In short: a holiday here is the ideal way to recharge your batteries all year round.

Jolie maison du Pays, aménagée et décorée avec goût et qualité. Un seul bémol le WC séparé se trouve dans la salle-de-bain. La propriétaire est accueillante et disponible. Nous avons eu un agréable séjour.

We spent the weekend there with some friends and had a really good time. Only issue is the only bathroom, that is completely renovated and clean, is at the bottom floor through the kitchen. Which means that it is quite a journey for the people staying at the top/attic floor.
Prachtig huisje gelegen in een mooie omgeving. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst, duidelijke en snelle communicatie met de eigenaar. Kers op de taart was dat we de geitjes mochten voeren!
We enjoyed the stay in Marchin, the house was great, we had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the outdoor playground and the possibility to feed the goats.

Leuk ingericht, compact huis. Voorzien van alle nodige comfort, in het bijzonder de keuken. Ook de smart TV met Vlaamse zenders was een +punt. Wel jammer dat er geen wandelingen zijn die in het dorpje vertrekken. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw.
Zeer aangenaam verblijf gehad in een mooi gerenoveerde woning, met sympathieke eigenaars. Ideaal ook met hond, met omheinde tuin. De derde kamer is op de tweede verdieping en enkel bereikbaar via een smal trapje (moeilijker voor oudere personen en/of geval van moeilijker te been ...). Het huisje is bedoeld voor 6 personen en is zeker ruim genoeg. Jammer dat er te weinig plaatsen zijn in het salon.
Zeer fijn huis. Kindjes vonden de geitjes natuurlijk geweldig.
We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad! Huisje is zeer net, goeie ligging, niets op aan te merken. Vriendelijke dame, leuk met de geitjes in de tuin. We hebben genoten!
Zeer fijn verblijf gehad. Mooi vakantiehuis, prachtig gerenoveerd. De geitjes in de tuin zijn leuk voor kindjes. Ze mogen de geitjes voederen. 1 tip: grotere zetel in de living. Deze is wat te klein voor een vakantiehuis voor 6 personen. Kortom… we komen zeker nog eens terug!

Een mooie woning met een afgesloten tuin, ideaal om met je hond zorgeloos op vakantie te gaan. In de buurt waren enkele lokale winkels bakker, SPAR, ... en op ongeveer 8 km was er ook een Colruyt, Aldi & Lidl. Wat wij persoonlijk minder vonden is dat er in de omgeving weinig bos is om te gaan wandelen, het zijn meer velden. De eigenaars zijn heel vriendelijk en staan altijd klaar voor problemen. Een klein minpuntje: Ze komen wel elke dag langs om de geiten eten te geven wat minder privacy geeft
We hebben genoten van een lang weekend in dit recent gerenoveerde huis. De omgeving is mooi, prima geschikt voor wandelen of fietsen. Gezellige en comfortabele inrichting, mooie slaapkamers met goede bedden, heerlijke badkamer. Voor de kinderen was het fantastisch dat er een speeltoestel en geitjes bij waren! De ontvangst was heel hartelijk. Er was nog geen koffiezetapparaat, maar deze werd de volgende dag gelijk gebracht door de eigenaar, heel attent.

Marchin is a small town, situated in the Liege province. It counts several castles on its turf and is only 15 minutes away from Huy , the city of fountains and is 35 minutes away from Durbuy , the smallest city in the world.
