Lovely, welcoming, 3-star holiday home in a tranquil setting with a garden, a patio, and exceptional views over the rolling countryside. Dogs welcome.
This 3-star, semi-detached holiday home is located in the province of Liège near Marchin, in a tranquil setting on the edge of a village. The owners live in the house next door. It consists of two comfortable bedrooms (plus a double sofa bed) and one bathroom. A baby bed, highchair, and changing mat are also available. The comfortable living room is equipped with a TV and a Bluetooth speaker/docking station to help you relax, before sitting down to dinner in the dining room, heated by a pellet stove, which adjoins the well-equipped open-plan kitchen that’s equipped with a 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer combo, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, juicer, raclette maker, and blender. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board, and a vacuum cleaner.
The garden and the patio, with a BBQ grill, have stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Plus, your faithful pet is also welcome! There is private parking for two cars.
The holiday home is close to the impressive city of Huy, famous for its Roman history and imposing fort. It is also a remarkable place of remembrance with its Museum of the Resistance and Concentration Camps. The striking Collégiale Notre-Dame and its fabulous treasury is a must-visit, as is the magnificent Grand Place. Huy is also known for its endless ‘wall’, dreaded by even the most seasoned cyclists.
You can also travel back in time to the Middle Ages on a visit to the elegant Modave Castle. Located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Houyoux Valley, it offers an exceptional view of the surrounding 450-hectare nature reserve, which has plenty of signposted walks to enjoy. We waren de eerste huurders van deze zopas renoveerde vakantiewoning. Onze eerste indruk was dat alles heel netjes en gezellig was. Mooi uitzicht over de vallei. Heel vriendelijke ontvangst. Het huisje was al lekker warm als we toekwamen, heel attent. Mooie uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen en dichtbij Hoei, een plaatsje dat ook zeker de moeite waard is om te bezoeken. Vergeet ook niet het kasteel van Modave te bezoeken. Het huisje is echt een aanrader!

Around the Meuse and its valley, the Condroz is full of charming villages, farm castles and picturesque little towns. The relief, sometimes gentle, sometimes hilly, creates beautiful perspectives. The impressive rock faces that rise from the river banks create a contrasting landscape. It is the favourite region for lovers of enchanting views.
Considered like one of the most beautiful castles bordering the Meuse, Modave is really essential for lovers of architectural beauties.
Marchin is a small town, situated in the Liege province. It counts several castles on its turf and is only 15 minutes away from Huy , the city of fountains and is 35 minutes away from Durbuy , the smallest city in the world.
Come and visit the Fort of Huy and its museum of concentration camps and of the Resistance. It is a remarkable memory place. With the cable-car, you can also overhang the town.
