Outside there's a beautiful private garden with a huge lawn to play on and lots of outdoor games. So no problem keeping the family entertained while you get the barbeque fired up: with a choice of badminton and petanque as well as a swing and a sandpit, they'll really be in their element.
This big rental house in the Ardennes is an ideal base for holidays exploring some of the most charming towns and villages in Belgium - and tasting the delicious food and drink of this delightful part of Belgium. The tourist attractions on offer include Maredous itself where the three Abbey ales are re-fermented in the bottle for a distinctive taste. The Abbey is also a great starting point for exploring the beautiful countryside of the Ardennes on foot.
A few kilometers from Maredsous lies the village of Falaën, one of "les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie". Here you can visit the ruins of Montaigle Castle and explore the beautiful valley with Les Draisines de la Molignée. A 'draisine' is a railbike which takes up to four people, so make sure everyone does their share!
Riding a draisine is a gentle adventure along old railway lines - for water-borne fun just drive a little further to the town of Dinant, where you can rent a boat or take a cruise. Or for an exciting and challenging day out, try the outdoor activities at Dinant Aventure.

We hebben een fijne vakantie gehad met een groep vrouwen en kinderen. Een groot pluspunt is dat het huis helemaal niet gehorig is. Zodat de kinderen elkaar niet wakker maken. Spijtig dat het aan een vrij drukke baan is, maar gelukkig was er een poort zodat de kinderen niet op straat konden gaan.
