On the hills of Grand-Halleux in the Ardennes, there is a charming town near the river and woods. Here you can stay in this lovely 3 star cottage and enjoy the best of the province of Luxembourg.
While this holiday house is completely renovated, the owners wanted to keep its old spirit by using natural materials, such as clay, to dress the walls.
This self-catering accommodation features a fully equipped open kitchen, a dining room that can fit 8 people, and a living room with a wood-burning stove. On the two floors upstairs, there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms in total. On the second floor, there is a mezzanine with an additional seating area, which will come in handy when someone wants to relax in their own space.
Outside, there is a big private terrace that stretches all along the side of the house. From there, there are a few steps to access the common garden where you will find the children's play area.
In the same village, there are two restaurants that open only during weekends. However, the holiday cottage is just a few kilometres away from Devalkart; where you can race down the ski slopes on a go-kart. If you are travelling with younger children, stop by Puzzle Planet; where there are plenty of activities to delight the little ones.

The bedrooms are spread over 2 floors. Three of them are located on the first floor near the water rooms and the fourth one is located on the second floor.
The owner's small apartment is attached to the house; however, the terrace is completely private.
It is not allowed to organise student parties, bachelor parties, drinking parties,…

We hadden een heel aangenaam verblijf. Vooraf waren wij aangeschreven door de verhuurder met alle nodige info. Alles was aanwezig en het was een heel mooi huis met alle voorzieningen. We hebben genoten!

Huisje over het algemeen in orde. Juist goed voor 6 volwassenen die graag wandelen. Sorteerinfo is nogal verwarrend. Op de papieren staat dat het PMD is en op de zak staat bedrukt dat het PMD+ is (met folies/verpakkingen). Grote + is de grote tuin en het afgelegen zeer rustig dorpje, terwijl de grotere, toeristische dorpen zoals Vielsalm en Trois-Ponts. Veel lichtinval. Daarnaast hangen sommige lampen wel heel laag, niet zo handig voor grote mensen.
We verbleven met 4 volwassenen, 2 jonge kindjes en 1 baby. Het huis en de omgeving waren hiervoor perfect. De tuin met schommel en glijbaan waren uitnodigend voor de kindjes. De 2 badkamers en living met eetplaats waren wel naar de kleine kant. Je kan niet met 2 passeren of erin staan. De houten vloeren kraken veel voor slapende kindjes, maar dit heeft ook zijn charmes in de Ardennen. Er is buiten geen oplaadpunt voor EV.
Speciaal gekozen voor het elektrisch oplaadpunt voor mijn EV wagen dat was een flinke tekortkoming slecht aangeven dat het een 220 volt aansluiting was. Het huis is te klein voor 8 personen. Vuil sorteren was gedoe. Tv werkte niet goed en geen nederlandsche zenders.
Mooi vakantiehuis maar te klein voor 8 personen. Wij waren met 5 personen en dat was goed te doen.
Goed onderhouden
Zeer leuk huis, met prachtige tuin en uitzicht, in een groene omgeving. Het is hier stil! Heel hard genoten van een gezellig weekend uit de stad.
We hebben met veel plezier met twee jonge kinderen hier twee weken doorgebracht. De tuin is erg groot en het huisje ligt aan het eind van een doodlopende weg. Als je de deur uit gaat ben je vrijwel direct bij wandelroutes en op 4 min lopen is er een leuk restaurantje.
