Viroinval [13km]

Viroinval is a place in the Belgian province of Namur, just next to the French border. The name comes from the valley of the Viroin, the river running through the town. Viroinval is known for its unique houses built using the natural stone from the area. The natural scenery of the Belgian Ardennes is extraordinary. Furthermore, the cities of Chimay and Dinant are just an hour's drive away. Fun fact: Viroinval used to be the geographical centre of Europe back when the union consisted of 15 member states.

Treignes [18km]

Treignes is a small village in the province of Namur, close to the French border. It has only around 700 inhabitants, but has four museums on its territory. It belongs to the municipality of Viroinval, in the valley of the river Viroin. Treignes is only 40 minutes away from Dinant , one of the most charming cities in the Belgian Ardennes , and Chimay, world famous for its delicious beers.

Rocroi [21km]

Rocroi is a French municipality in the department Ardennes, the French Ardennes . It is located just a few kilometres from the border with Belgium, about 35 minutes from the city of Charleville-Mézières and the Belgian city of Chimay , world famous for its delicious beers. The region has an interesting history, especially because of the many fierce battles that have been fought during the wars throughout the centuries. The remains of the fortifications around Rocroi are still visible today.
