You will surely fall in love with this old farmhouse full of character, classified as part of the rural heritage of Gaul! Its yellow country stone façade and pretty blue shutters give it a magnificent cachet and its authenticity testifies to its family history.
But what has really captured our heart? The beautiful renovation, featuring clean lines, light tones, vintage deco furniture and beautiful period objects. These elements, which blend in with the more contemporary materials, provide a unique atmosphere to the whole, both simple and friendly, intimate and authentic. This pure charm continues outside: large fruit trees, a beautiful terrace, a garden in the shade of a willow tree... We are well and truly in the south!
Your holiday home is located in a small Gaumese village, Fontenoille, where life is good. Gaume is an exotic forest region, where you can fill up on nature, tourist activities and local gastronomy. The location of the holiday home is ideal, very close to Chassepierre (famous for its street arts festival) and the Semois river (perfect for a kayaking trip!). Both the Orval Abbey and Bouillon are a fifteen minute drive away.
The style of the holiday home combined with the micro-climate of Gaume offers you a timeless escape that has the charm of the south of France, without leaving Belgium!
In the village, you will find a playground and a petanque pitch. Fun assured for children... and grown-ups!

Mooi huis in een prachtige streek met veel wandelingen in de buurt. De abdij van Orval is een bezoekje zeker waard!!! Gewoon prachtig.
Wij waren aangenaam verrast hoe mooi en verzorgd het huis was, rustige omgeving, eigenaars zijn super vriendelijk!!
Magnifique maison, bien équipée, soignée et cosy. Propriétaires accueillants et serviables. Située dans une région aux atouts mutiples : nature, culture, patrimoine, gastronomie et proche des commerces nécessaires au séjour. 4ème séjour dans cet agréable gîte
Mooi oude boerderij en netjes onderhouden en schoon. Voldeed aan onze wensen. Jammer dat de uitbater alleen maar Frans spreekt. Moeilijk communiceren op die manier. Maar alles verder in orde.
Heel prettig en fijn huis met alle voorzieningen aanwezig. Fijne rustige locatie zonder directe buren. Beheerder/eigenaar zeer prettig, betrouwbaar en dichtbij indien nodig. Aanrader!
Prijs kwaliteit was ok maar wel tot 2 x huisbaas moeten contacteren omdat verwarming niet werkte. D Te winig bestek aanwezig
We hebben een comfortabel weekend doorgebracht in een gezellige ruime woning. Het enige minpunt is het licht (dat ongetwijfeld omwille van de veiligheid) dat automatisch in de gang naast de kamers aangaat als je er passeert. Het licht schijnt dan ( ook ‘s nachts) in kamers.
Het was een aangenaam huis , rulm , mooi en van alle gemakken voorzien,
Het is een heerlijk huis in een verstild boerendorpje. Het huis is proper, goed warm te krijgen, prima badkamers. De houtkachel doet het fantastisch. Er zijn volop wandelmogelijkheden in de omgeving. En er is ook van alles te bezoeken, kerken, kastelen, abdij etc. Het dorp heeft geen faciliteiten, maar die zijn er in de nabije omgeving (paar km autorijden). In het prachtige herfstweer was het echt genieten deze week!
Zeer gezellig huis - we komen terug
Het vakantiehuis was eigenlijk te klein voor 7 personen. De zetel heeft maar plaats voor drie. Tevens hoor je eigenlijk overal in de woning alles omdat het zo dunne vloeren zijn. De eigenaars zijn wel heel vriendelijk en de slaapkamers en badkamers zijn heel mooi ingericht! Mooie omgeving ook om te wandelen.

Leuke woning met aangenaam tuintje. Ideaal voor onze eerste vakantie met baby. Eigenaars zijn super vriendelijk.
3ème séjour en Famille dans cette jolie maison : super accueil, endroit chaleureux et très bien équipé. Situation exceptionnelle pour profiter des charmes de la Gaume. Conseils d'activités reçus de la part des hôtes lors de l'accueil.
Wij hebben 2 weken vakantie gehouden in deze woning. Naar alle tevredenheid. Heerlijk koel, tijdens warme dagen. Goede bedden. Prima douches. Tuin is prima en de omgeving vonden wij erg mooi! Volledig uitgeruste keuken is ook erg fijn als je zelf wilt koken. Winkels op niet al te grote afstand. 1 tip: meer zitplaatsen in de woonkamer zou fijn zijn. Wij waren met 6. Bijv nog een klein bankje/2 stoelen erbij oid. We konden bij vragen/problemen appen/bellen met de eigenaren!
