Visit the cafeteria, browse the bookshop and souvenir shop, stop by the playground and don’t forget to:  Visit the abbey itself and try the traditional food produced here. 

A visit full of history 

Maredsous Abbey is located in the Molignée valley and was founded in 1872. From 1882 onwards, it became a cultural centre. We won't give any more away as your guide will tell you all about the Abbey’s history and take you through the monks' cemetery, the garden and their private estate. Enjoy this moment of calm and tranquillity and then it’s time for some delicious food! 

A gourmet museum 

Take the opportunity to visit the small cheese museum where you can discover the secret ripening process of the famous Maredsous cheese.
