Description

Who says the Battle of the Ardennes mostly took place in Bastogne?Did you know that the Germans’ failure in La Gleize is now well and truly thought of as the main reason they were defeated in the Battle of the Ardennes?

This museum has collections of unparalleled historical wealth on display. The project owes its success to two historical enthusiasts, Phillipe and Gérard. They travelled all over Belgium looking for material and historic items. The region of Stoumont had a lot of discoveries in store for them. Most of the items being exhibited are either from the battlefield, or were donated by veterans. The exhibition tells a story, their story.

The December 1944 Museum is also thought of as a remembrance place: this is the exact location where the combats that forged our history took place.

Enthusiasts shouldn’t pass by the museum’s entrance without taking a look at the 69-tonne German ‘Royal Tiger’ chariot.
